Redmond Lights

Join us in Redmond, WA for Redmond Lights!

This progressive, three-part event starts at Redmond City Hall and takes you on a luminary walk along the Sammamish River Trail to Downtown Park and the Redmond Town Center. At City Hall campus, you’ll enjoy music performances and the tree lighting ceremony! View light and art installations and thousands of luminaries as you stroll down the Redmond Central Connector. More art and music awaits you at Downtown Park. On Saturday evening, a Winter Wonderland awaits you at Redmond Town Center, with a carousel, live ice carver, and even more performances. Sunday night gives you an encore opportunity to experience the luminary walk to Downtown Park once more.

Aura Aurora will be on display near Redmond City Hall at the beginning of the luminary walk.

Join us at Bumbershoot, Seattle’s largest Music and Arts Festival where we’ll unveil Mixtapes an installation that explores our emotional connection to music and the artists who perform it.
Three gigantic audio cassettes (mixtapes) will be installed at the Seattle Center, each tape includes a title prompting visitors to add a song to our ever growing playlist on that topic.

All responses will be recorded and the playlist will be publicly available after the festival.

Rainbrella celebrates our region’s wettest months by turning the humble umbrella into a riot of light and sound. Our piece will be located along the Sammamish River Trail near the Accenture building in Redmond.

On Saturday, December 1, experience this three-part, progressive event, by starting at City Hall Campus for the Tree Lighting Ceremony and fireworks show. Stroll down the Redmond Central Connector Luminary Walk, grab a sweet treat at Downtown Park, and end the evening at Redmond Town Center. Along the way enjoy musical entertainment, refreshments, and fun activities for the whole family. 

Be sure to browse the unique homemade works from Northwest crafters at our Holiday Market at the Redmond Senior Center from 12pm-6pm.

"Sticker City" at the Pacific Science Center

We will be unveiling our “Sticker City” installation at Curiosity Days: Evolving Cities at the Pacific Science Center.

Sticker City asks its participants to work together to create an ever growing city using stickers that contain roads, buildings, farms, factories, and more. These stickers will be adhered to the walls of a large inflatable which will act as the "terrain” for our imaginary city.

Get set to get curious about a new scientific theme every other month at Curiosity Days. These weekend-long events explore the connections between science and our region; you’ll engage with local innovators, explore new topics, and see what scientific research and breakthroughs are happening in Seattle. With hands-on activities, demonstrations and discussions, you’ll soon discover that science is everywhere.

Test your creativity and unleash your imagination as the future of cities is explored at Curiosity Days: Evolving Cities. Local innovators and engineers will host hands-on demonstrations, workshops and activities all weekend long! "Calling Home" at the 'Design With the 90%' Opening Celebration

We will unveil a new installation titled “Calling Home” at the Opening Celebration for the “Design with the 90%” exhibition at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center.


Calling Home is an “empathy engine” installation that questions its audience about their personal experiences and contrasts with those of persons experiencing homelessness.

Celebrate the opening of Design with the 90%, a special exhibition featuring 26 innovative projects that showcase designs solutions toward a more equitable world by increasing access, improving health, and empowering opportunity for the most marginalized communities around the world. 

Meet local and international designers featured in the exhibition, connect with community partners, and get inspired to turn caring into action.

Extraordinary Playscapes: Family Fun Day

We'll have a small inflatable photobooth at AIA Seattle's Extraordinary Playscapes Family Fun Day.  Other activities include an outdoor play area in Post Alley behind the Center for Architecture & Design and an indoor creative portal complete with boards and video games, photo booth, a Seattle Design Nerds installation and a drawing station where you are invited to design your own dream playground. Light refreshments provided.

Seattle Design Festival Block Party

We will have two separate installations at the Seattle Design Festival Block Party; the Dodecatron and the Gravity Maze Wall (in conjunction with the Pacific Science Center)

The Dodecatron is a massive wooden dome structure with a suspended inflatable space.

Enter our ever-changing installation, take a selfie in our sky space, hug a cloud, lounge on a pillow, and don’t forget to stick a doodle on the future beam before you go. 

The Gravity Maze Wall is a collaborative project lead by the Tinker Tank at the Pacific Science Center.  Pegboard walls and building block elements are combined to create a fun and educational challenge.
